Celebrating life & death through personal & reflective ceremonies.
I like to think I'm not your average Funeral Director. Young, kind-hearted and client focused, I am approachable and friendly and want to take the hard work out of organising a funeral.
Planning a celebration to farewell your loved one can be a daunting experience. I understand this and will be there to guide you through every step of the process.
Pairing with Picaluna, I am all about celebrating and reflecting on life. I want families to know they have choice and total transparency when it comes to funeral arranging.
Together we will plan an authentic, genuine and personal funeral that celebrates and reflects on the recently passed.
Services & Offerings
I work in partnership with Picaluna Beautiful Funerals. Picaluna is a community of like minded people, helping families to create more authentic, compassionate and affordable cremations, burials and memorials.
Picaluna felt that there was a much better way to conduct funerals, and are changing the way funerals are done for the better. This change is underpinned by their core purpose to help communities to honour, mourn, celebrate, heal and rejuvenate. Picaluna also chooses to donate 5% of their Service Fee to a charity of the family’s choice. The Picaluna partnership supports me in the logistics required to arrange and conduct a funeral; including transfers, registering the death with Births, Deaths & Marriages, access to a vast range of suppliers, mortuary care, and invoicing. This allows me to spend more time with you, crafting and delivering a personalised ceremony, authentic to the one you loved.
Before making any decisions, please know that you have time. Most families talk about feeling rushed into making decisions when it comes to funeral planning, but that doesn't have to be the case. There is no rush, and I am available to provide support and empower you to create a memorable and genuine farewell.
Through Picaluna's network of professional and quality suppliers, we can assist with the following:
Legal paperwork required for cremation or burial.
Celebrant or clergy booking
Venue for the funeral/memorial - eg, beach, park, golf club, community hall, surf club, home, chapel or church.
Order of service booklet
Return of ashes
Application of death certificate from BDM
"My husband passed near Christmas and with Covid restrictions I opted for a casual memorial service rather than a church service. I found Kate quite easily online and she was happy at short notice to help me out.
Kate was very interested in the history of my husbands life and put together a beautiful light hearted service and made our daughters relaxed and at ease talking about him.
We all had a hard time and Kate made it a very comfortable and personal service. I am glad Kate was the celebrant and I definitely would recommend her for any occasion"
